As we expand our broadcast base, we seek the expertise of a sound editor to:

  • Confer with producers, performers, and others to determine and achieve the desired sound for a production, for events such as Njoy, Sunday and Wednesday services, etc.
  • Mix and edit voices, music, and taped sound effects for live performances and for pre-recorded events, using sound mixing boards.
  • Prepare for recording sessions by performing activities such as selecting and setting up microphones.
  • Record speech, music, and other sounds on recording media, using recording equipment.
  • Regulate volume level and sound quality during recording sessions.
  • Report equipment problems and ensure that required repairs are made.
  • Separate instruments, vocals, and other sounds, and combine sounds later during the mixing or postproduction stage.
  • Remove and care for equipment after event completion.
  • Set up, test, and adjust recording equipment for recording sessions and live performances.
  • Reproduce and duplicate sound recordings from original recording media, using sound editing and duplication equipment.
  • Assist in the production of proper shoots, improve on existing styles, produce better mini-docus about our initiatives and have a better storage and archival systems.

This salaried position requires regular weekday hours and some evenings including time on Sundays. Deliverables must always be met as a condition for this job. Participation in training workshops, conferences and special events may be required.

  • A professed and baptized Christ-follower with a history of church attendance and service in ministry
  • Maintain regular church attendance and daily pursue a growing relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer, Bible reading, and service
  • Know, agree and support the doctrine of The Elevation Church and submit to all the decisions made by Church Leadership
  • Endeavour to seek the Lord in tithing towards The Elevation Church
  • Lead or participate in a Cluster /bible study
  • Attend all workers meetings and all services and functions
  • Handle self above reproach, including, but not limited to, dress and speech
  • Continually pursue unity, reconciliation and an environment of grace with all staff
